Picnics, barbecues, and fireworks are what most of us think about when it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July. While you are busy planning for the upcoming weekend festivities, take some time to prepare your pet for the holiday. For many pets, the noisy and bright fireworks are frightening, often causing them to run away. In fact, more pets run away on July 4th than any other day of the year. Every year, animal shelters report a high number of lost pets that enter their facility on and around July 4th.
We hope these safety tips will help you and your furry friend stay safe through the holiday. And while we hope you won’t ever need us for an emergency, if you do, know that we are open all day, every day – including July 4th.
